Hug. Milk. Sleep, and then
Words. Laugh. Crawl. Walking.
Toy. School. Friend. Exam.
Book. Game. Crush. Shy.
Music, room. Dance alone.
Run home, heart’s dropping.
Read. Write. Face rejection.

Leave home. Colledge. Drunk.
Fight. Lose. Pray. Study.
More friends. Hang together.
Promise, it is forever.
Graduate. Leave town.
Never meet again.
Find job. Work. Rent.
Time moves faster during descent.

Love, and kiss. Dreaming, and aspire.
Marry. Children, their happy smile.
Watch them grow. Watch as they are leaving.
Abandoning the dreams. Planning to retire.

Rusty car. Creaking in the house.
Dusty photos in an empty room, then
Pain in the chest, hands becoming number.
Dark and silence.
Time to go.
